Our hotel in the center of Seville is just one step of this magnificent building. Its construction began in the fifteenth century, thanks to the events of that time, the recent discovery of America, the relevant importance and wealth that was acquiring the Andalusian capital.
In 1560 it was decided to place this wonderful building in the Plaza de San Francisco, which was a central and commercial in its construction, it breaks with the tradition of building using brick and stone used for its construction. Which serves to create ornaments and icons contained in its facade.
During construction, underwent many architects working on it, from Diego de Riaño who in 1526 began work to master builder Juan Sanchez.
As a detail of the facade, the reliefs are there in this great work of architecture, are the emblems that refer to justice, harmony and good governance, with figures linked to the city, from its founder Hercules, the Emperor Julius Caesar and the Emperor Charles who made Seville the capital of his empire.
