On January 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19, at the Teatro Lope de Vega in Seville, the musical 'Cabaret' will be performed, which celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Cabaret is a musical with libretto by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, based on the play 'I Am a Camera' by John Van Druten. The play premiered for the first time at the Broadhurst Theater in Broadway in 1966 under the direction of Harold Prince.

The musical is set in Berlin in 1931, when Nazism was beginning to gain strength. The main plot revolves around the love story between the main star of the decadent Kit Kat Klub, Sally Bowles, with the American writer Cliff Bradshaw, who arrives in Berlin searching for inspiration for his new novel. Another of the main storylines focuses on the romance between the German Fräulein Schneider, who runs the pension where our protagonists stay, and Herr Schultz, a Jewish owner of a greengrocers. All this liven up by the Master of Ceremonies of the Kit Kat Klub (MCee).
The duration of the show is 2 hours and half, including break. Tickets can be purchased through the theater website or at 'Espacio Taurina' in C/ Laraña, 4. Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 17:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sundays, Mondays and holidays with function, one hour before the start of the show.
