Blog Estrella Morente, Antonio Canales and Aída Gómez at Seville

The show "War of women" starring Estrella Morente & Antonio channels & Aida Gomez will be responsible for opening the cycle of the XIX Edition of the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla 2016 shows. Will be the next Friday, 9 of September of 2016 to the 20:30 hours in the theatre of the Maestranza of Seville.

The work Theatre is based in the fable the Lysistrata of Aristophanes starting from the version written by Miguel Narros. After the success achieved in the Mérida classical Theatre Festival, gets to Seville to begin with the Flamenco Biennial.

"The war of women"

"The war of the women" is directed by José Carlos Plaza. Features with a body of dance of seven dancers, a choir and an orchestra of eight performers and musicians. It has as its main argument the consequences of the war and its consequences. A theme that will be treated with humor between songs and dances to the rhythm of flamenco.

Juan Carmona is the musical director of the show, the choreographies were created by dancer Antonio Canales and Aída Gómez who also star in two of the actors in the show. Estrella Morente will give voice to the main character of Lysistrata.

Tickets already are on sale online and at the box office of the Teatro de la Maestranza at prices ranging between 22 and 40 euros.
