XXVI European Social Services Conference
The European Social Services Congress is the most important annual event of the European Social Network (ESN). This congress seeks the way to improve services through social investment and the empowerment of people and communities, which are the main objective of social welfare services. It also offers the opportunity to discuss strategic issues in the world of social services, as well as sharing best practices or interacting with like-minded professionals from other European regions.
This annual summit has been organized by the European Social Network (ESN) in collaboration with the Department of Equality and Policies of the Junta de Andalucía, which is a member of ESN, and will take place at the Barceló Renacimiento Hotel. It will have four plenary sessions on investment and social development, evaluation frameworks, universal basic income, social contract and social impact bonds. Among the confirmed speakers are: Susana Díaz, president of the Junta de Andalucía, John Bolton, professor at the University of Oxford, Christian Bodewig, director of the World Bank program or Herminia Palacio, vice-mayor of the city of New York and responsible for Health and Social Services.
In addition, 21 workshops have been selected from 10 European countries (Spain, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Italy and Denmark) on topics such as co-production, quality and evaluation of services, technological innovation and evaluation of services for young users.
