Baroque Exhibition in Seville
Cajasol Cultural Center, located in Laraña, hosts the exhibition "Masters of Baroque Cajasol Foundation Collection." The exhibition displays works splendid Andalusian Baroque paintings by Valdes Leal, Alonso Cano, Zurbarán and Murillo.
The exhibition is the source a larger project that aims to transform the building into a museum today is the headquarters of the Foundation Cajasol.
The exhibition draws the equity of the foundation (which has over 4,000 pieces) and presents works of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the height of the Andalusian Baroque school, including canvases are most representative of their teachers. The exhibition includes a prologue dedicated to iconographic themes of the time and a sample of carpets of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
This exhibition inaugurates the fall schedule Cajasol Foundation. The exhibition is complemented by activities such as workshops for schoolchildren or a drawing competition for children. The weekends also are scheduled guided tours for families and groups which will merge music and Baroque painting.
