Flamenco Dresses Exhibition in Seville
Until Sunday January 12, 2014, the exhibition will remain open for Lina in the Museum of Popular Arts in Seville.
Worth mentioning that this exhibition is one of the most extensive in terms of its type, since the great flamenco dress designer, Marcelina Fernandez more well known as Lina, exposed in her collection the best outfits in the eyes of visitors.
Lina, who in 1960 decided to break into the world of flamenco fashion, opened a small workshop with her husband, Francisco Montero. Thanks to this decision, the designs of this excellent artist in the popular and folkloric Andalusian dress, have traveled long distances, and which have been known anywhere in the world.
Our local artist, has been repeatedly winner in contests such as SIMOF (International Flamenco Fashion Show), We Love Flamenco recently held at the beginning of this year, as well as fashion shows of their own creations and if that were off dresses made by the flamenco needlework master, have been used for different films both national and abroad, which were filmed in our city.
The exhibition is open to all audiences, European citizens have completely free entry, for visitors from around the world, the price of admission is very symbolic, only costs 1.50 euro. The location of this magnificent collection of dresses, is in the Museum of Arts and Traditions, located in Plaza de America, 3. Schedules until September 15 are Tuesday to Saturday from 09:00 to 15:30 and on Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 17:00 hours.
