From 27 February to 2 March 2014 the classic work Hecuba will be represented at the Theatre Lope de Vega in Seville.
Hecuba is one of the most important classical tragedies of Euripides, one of the three great tragic poets of ancient Greece with Aeschylus and Sophocles. On this occasion, the version of Juan Mayorga arrives in Seville, under the direction of José Carlos Plaza.

Hecuba, wife of King, and mother of future kings, is an elderly woman who is waiting to be dragged as a slave to foreign lands. However, when it seemed she had no strength, she deals a terrible blow to all those who have abused her with courage and determination. Hecuba is a synonym for revenge.
Concha Velasco as Hecuba, is the protagonist of this work. She will be accompanied on stage by José Pedro Carrion, Juan Gea, Pilar Bayona and Alberto Iglesias, among others. The duration of the play is 90 minutes.
