Blog I Congress on Gender and Health in Seville 2017

The first Congress of gender and health will take place on 16 and 17 November 2017 in the Hall of the Faculty of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Podiatry, University of Seville.

Congress has as main objective the study of the negative effects that has domestic violence on the health of the victims. Issues such as the prevention or arrest of symptoms of abuse in patients who come to the consultations of infirmaries will also address.

Programming of the gender and health Congress

The programming of the Congress is divided into two blocks: the first one will address structural inequalities by gender and the impact that has on health. The second block will be focused to the direct relationship between gender violence and the effects of physical, social and psycho-emotional presenting both the victims and their families.

November 16

-"Salud, dinero y amor" which will feature 3 keynotes: "Health, culture and disease in globalised societies", "evidence bio, psycho-social and environmental", "love sick" and one roundtable will discuss where the role of ICT in the new paradigms of the gender violence in young people.

17 November

-"Malo eres... is not damaged who wants to" will feature two round tables where will be discussed on: "The role of ICT in the new paradigms of the gender violence in young people" and "Re-victimization of the legal process" and there will also be a unique presentation on "Violence against women, a matter of State".
