Blog Israel Galván at Maestranza of Seville with the Biennal of Flamenco 2018

Israel Galván will offer a show entitled "ARENA. THE art of your flight"next September 7, 2018 at 20.30 hours in the Royal Cavalry Maestranza in Seville. The show is in the programming of the 20th Edition of the Flamenco Biennial of Seville.

"ARENA. THE art of your flight"will be the first show to open the 20th Edition of the Biennale of the Flamenco of Seville which will be held from 6 to 30 September 2018. The bus of the biennial will take place in different places of the city.

Israel Galván in the Maestranza 2018

Israel Galván already premiered the same show in 2014 in the same space. Returns in this edition of the biennial of 2018 to resume his show as a real challenge. The Real Maestranza of Cavalry of Seville will become an epic setting for six Flemish choreographies that will represent the world of bulls.

"ARENA. THE art of your flight"as if it were a bullfight in which is dealing of 6 bulls, with their set times for each Bull is divided into 6 parts.

The first part: "Bailador"

Name of the bull that gave the fatal Goring to "Joselito el Gallo" on May 16, 1920 in Talavera de la Reina. The representation of this part will have the collaboration of Alfredo and David Lagos.

The second part: "Granaíno"

Name of the bull that gave the fatal Goring to Ignacio Sanchéz Mejias on August 13, 1934. The representation of this part will be the collaboration of the Joven Orquesta de Andalucía and Antonio Moreno percussion group.

The third part: "Pocapena"

Name of the bull that gave the fatal Goring to Manuel Granero in Madrid on May 7, 1922. The representation of this part will have the collaboration of Juan Jiménez.

The Fifth pary: "Playero"

Name del Toro gave the fatal Goring to the banderillero Manuel Montaño on July 16, 1905, in Seville. The representation of this part will be assisted by Sylvie Courvoisier and child of Elche.

The sixth part: "Cantinero"

Name of the bull that gave the fatal Goring to José Rodríguez Davié "Pepete" in Fitero on September 12, 1899. The representation of this part will be the collaboration of the band of the Sones.
