Days of Flamenco as Mudejar Art will take place on 28, 29 and 30 April 2016 in the Real Alcazar of Seville, thanks to the collaboration between the Bienal de Flamenco, the Menendez Pelayo International University and the ICAS.
This project comes within the framework of + Culture in Spring, with the aim of publicizing the crossbreeding of flamenco, product of different influences received from the rest of the Peninsula and North Africa.
Flamenco and Mudejar Art in Seville
The program is aimed at university students and flamenco enthusiasts, which will involve researchers and experts of flamenco as Rafael Valencia, who will be the manager of this program, Miguel Ropero (professor at the University of Seville), Luis Suarez Avila (folklorist), Alejandra Contreras (specialist in Arab dances), Fahmi Alqhai (director of the Early Music Festival of Sevilla), Francisco Zambrano (flamencologist), among others.
Every day the show Tierra de nadie will be held, with Segundo Falcón, Paco Jarana, Suhail Serghini and Abdesselam Naiti. The ticket price is 20 euros and can be purchased on the website of the Bienal de Flamenco, on General tickets’ site, and at the ticket office of Lope de Vega Theater.
