HBO, an American channel, confirmed a few days ago that will take place the shooting of some scenes of the fifth season of Game of Thrones in Seville. Specifically, the stage chosen was the Real Alcázar.

Game of Thrones has become very successful series based on the Song of Ice and Fire saga by George RR Martin, and has a large followers worldwide.
The Real Alcázar will represent the Water Gardens in the series, a place of recreation and rest in the arid Kingdom of Dorne, prized by Prince Doran Martell. HBO says the Real Alcázar meets all requirements to be the scene of the Water Gardens, among other reasons for its Moorish style, give the image of a perfect building of the Kingdom of Dorne, as the author described in his book.
This project has become perhaps the most important in Andalusia regarding all film productions or series made so far in our region, as pointed Andalusia Film Commission.
Spain has become one of the seven countries in the world where Game of Thrones has shot his scenes. The baseline scenario is in Belfast (Northern Ireland), and other scenes were produced in Croatia, Iceland, Morocco, Malta and the United States.
