The Classic Theater Company of Seville under the direction of Alfonso Zurro and with Roberto Quintana as main actor inaugurates the theater cycle in the Lope de Vega with the work of Ramón del Valle Inclán Luces de Bohemia.
Published in 1920, it premiered in Spain for the first time in 1970 at the Teatro Principal in Valencia. This work was considered one of the most important of Valle Inclán, with he started the genre of the esperpento, characterized by giving a deformed and grotesque vision of reality in order to criticize it, satirize it.
The work is narrated in Madrid, and tells the last hours of life of Max Estrella, a blind writer who, without knowing it was his last night, fights for his recognition, complaining about society, the degradation and the corruption in the country.
