Month of Dance in Seville
The 20th edition of the MONTH OF DANCE will be held between 1 and 23 November, and presented a poster which, again , shows the great complicity of the festival with the city of Seville.
This 2013 MONTH OF DANCE is held: the sample is 20 years Sevillian firm commitment to contemporary dance , becoming one of the deans of the city festivals and a national and international arts sector of the movement. The new edition will be held between 1 and November 23 .
The image of this year , the work of photographer Luis Castilla , wants to transmit DANCE MONTH complicity with the city of Seville and its effort to highlight and promote contemporary dance in short, help you fly higher. Not surprisingly , Sample has toured the city looking for spaces , partnerships , synergies and collaborations of all kinds, during these two decades of life. The result of this commitment is preparing a publication that runs through word and image 20 years of dance in Andalusia.

The book, " DANCE MONTH OF 20 YEARS . A history of contemporary dance in Andalusia " , was created to provide a deep , analytical look back , it will help to understand the evolution of contemporary dance through the memory of two decades of festival. Sample wants to involve your audience and lovers of dance and photography by Lánzanos crowdfunding platform.
With the perspective that gives the whole experience so far, the organization of the Exhibition working on a publishing project that serves to analyze and understand what happened in these two decades of movement arts in our community. " DANCE MONTH OF 20 YEARS . A history of contemporary dance in Andalusia " is a book that combines critical analysis and scenic photography , which was created to alleviate an enormous lack of writings about dance in Spain . Contribute to legitimize this art through the written word is one of the main objectives . This project is designed by Maria Gonzalez (Director DANCE MES ), Omar Khan and Mercedes L. Knight (Director and Chief Editor respectively susyQ Journal , a magazine specializing in dance most prestigious in our country ) and photographer Luis Castilla , who has accompanied the shows since its first edition .
Through its more than 200 pages, the publication will serve as journalistic study , including 20 interviews with creators Andalusians and collaborations such as the creator María Muñoz , Cia . Malpelo . As for his side as photography book , volume will also serve to bring exceptional value to the graphic file DANCE MES has been accumulating for all editions .
