Blog Pepe Habichuela at the Maestranza Theatre

Jose Antonio Carmona Carmona, known as Pepe Habichuela, gypsy from Granada and Spanish flamenco guitarist, will perform at the Teatro de La Maestranza on 22 December at 20:30 h.

Pepe belongs to the generation that came to move and that shared experiences in scenarios of half the world along with friends such as Paco de Lucía, Camarón or Enrique Morente, as well as promote the enormous diffusion which enjoys flamenco today.

Still active and in full celebration of 60 years of artistic career, it is claimed by the new stars of flamenco such as Miguel Poveda and Rocío Márquez.

At its meeting in the Maestranza, Pepe Habichuela will share stage with his son, Josemi Carmona; Bandolero - José Manuel Ruiz Motos, one of the most brilliant percussionists of the flamenco-; the flamenco singer Enrique Morente Carbonell - son of Enrique Morente - dancer Alba Heredia, the Sevillian guitarist Dani de Morón and Antonio Campos, also guitarist and extraordinary singer.

Tickets are already on sale over the internet and will be at the ticket office of the Maestranza Theatre from Monday 4 December. Prices range between 26 and 40 euros.
