Seville leads the Network of Cities Magallanicas, to collaborate in the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the first world tour by ship, headed by Fernando de Magallanes.
Together with Seville, another 7 cities form this route with the aim to turn it into Immaterial Heritage of the Humanity. These cities are Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Lisbon, Oporto and Sabrosa in Portugal Puerto San Julián in Argentina and Punta Arena and Ushaia in Chile. It is expected that other cities like Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Buenos Aires in Argentina, will join this route in the future.
