Blog XLIV OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHESS

The Open is celebrated from 11 to 19 January 2019 at the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Seville. After the passionate battle of minds last year the open returns to Seville to make clear who is the most brilliant strategist.

XLIV OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHESS 

The tournament will be played by Sistema Suizo in 9 rounds, from January 11 to 19, 2019.
It will take place in the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions, FIBES Sevilla, Avda Mayor Luis Uruñuela, 1.
The games start at 5:30 pm, except for the last round that starts at 9:30 am.

The game rhythm will be 90 minutes plus 30 seconds per play. The
Pairings and tiebreaks are made with the Swiss Manager software. These
will be exposed at the end of the round on the information boards and on the official website of the
tournament. They are considered official starting at 10:00. TABLES AGREEMENT (Sofia Rule) -
Only the Referee has the power to decide if a game ends in a draw, before 30
movements.

The inscriptions will have the following prices:

General Fee - € 40
Local Fee - € 30
Child Fee (year 2005) - € 20
Graduates (FM, WIM, IM, WGM, GM) - Free
