XVIII Conference of Forensic Genetics GHEP-ISFG
From 18 to 20 September 2013 will be held the XVIII Conference of Forensic Genetics (GHEP-ISFG) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Seville. Forensic Genetics are the techniques used in this field to identify the
individual through DNA. The identifications of individuals is through DNA for one simple reason, no two individuals are identical except in the case of identical twins, and is in the DNA we find that differentiation between individuals in spite even be related.
When the egg and sperm fuse in the process of meiosis can produce millions of possible combinations. There is a part of human DNA has little variability, which are genes that information is inherited from father to son, and represents a high percentage of the DNA molecule. The remainder can present changes and makes each individual different. Therefore, it results we have part of DNA in common and another part is different.
The content of this conference will be divided into two blocks: the discussion of the 2013 Intercomparison Exercise and, on the other hand, a workshop on the interpretation of mixtures.Congress Registration ended last May 30.
